Tithe Applotment Books

Tithe was a tax on agricultural land – one tenth of the land’s produce – which went to the Church of Ireland and its clergy and later to the Crown.

The Tithe Applotment Books are a collection of land valuations between 1823 and 1838 which are held by the Public Records Office of Northern Ireland (PRONI).

More detail will be added to this list at a later date.
